Stanley Miller is a longtime Clevelander, graduating from Glenville High School, and Kent State University with graduate work at Cleveland State University and specialized training at The Fisher School of Business at Ohio State University, Ashland University, New York University, Harvard/MIT, and Boston University.
He is currently enrolled for a Course of Study at Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO) .
Rev. Miller is also the Principal of the SRMGROUP, LLC, a consulting business. Team building and consulting on diversity issues are an important part of his work. Prior to establishing SRMGROUP, LLC, Stan Miller spent 6 years as Executive Director of The NAACP, and 2 years as the Executive Director of Neighborhood Centers Association. . In his corporate work, Stan spent 31 years at Ameritech, a major telecommunications company, retiring in 1999 as the Vice President of External Affairs,
He has served as a Member of Cuyahoga County’s Adult and Senior Services Advisory Committee, The Visiting Committee at Kent State University Business School, The Alcoa Corporation Community Advisory Committee, Murtis H. Taylor Center Board of Trustees, Case Western Reserve University Supplier Diversity Committee, Cleveland Museum of Art’s Community Advisory Committee, United Way Services Board of Directors and the United Way Services Human Resources Committee. He also served as a `Member of the Pepper Pike Civil Service Commission, a Trustee and Vice President of Cuyahoga Community College’s Board of Trustees, and the City Club Board of Trustees. Stan has served as a Member of the Global Cleveland Board of Trustees, Member of the United Neighborhood Centers of America, a member and Past President of the Warrensville Hts. City Board of Education, and Secretary to the Canton, Ohio Civil Service Commission. He has also served on the boards of the Canton, Columbus and Cleveland NAACP Branches, and the Cleveland and Columbus Urban Leagues.
Prior to the appointment at Rust UMC, Stan served as Pastor of Nottingham UMC and Pastor of Shaffer UMC. His first ministerial assignment was as the Associate Pastor of Aldersgate UMC, in Warrensville Heights..
Stan and his wife Ronnie reside in the University Circle area of Cleveland. They have two adult sons, two grandsons, and seven granddaughters.
